Day 1 | D
Arrive Luang Prabang
Upon arrival, you would be met by a Divine representative and transfer to the hotel. Evening after dinner visit the most popular night market in Luang Prabang.
Day 2 | B, L
Luang Prabang
After breakfast transfer to Elephant camp for 1 hour Elephant Joy Ride and Elephant feeding. This one hour joy ride, cover short jungle walk, river crossing and you may be able to ride Elephant one your own. End of the ride back to the camp and Elephant feeding experience (sugar cane and special grass).
After lunch visit National Museum (Former Royal Palace of Luang Prabang), with many artefacts on the Laos’ Royals and history. Move on to the Golden Tree Monastery built in 1560 c. This is the most historically significant and impressive Monastery of Luang Prabang.
After that take a short hike about 100m up Mt Phousi to view the crimson sunset over the Luang Prabang. Mt Phousi lies in the heart of the old town of Peninsula and is bordered on one side by the Mekong River and on the other side by the Nam Kham River.
Back to hotel for some rest and relax.
Day 3 | B, L
Luang Prabang
Rise early this morning to witness and partake in the daily morning ritual of ‘Tak Bat’ or giving alms to the monks. This is a unique ritual still followed by the locals in Luang Prabang. We can also visit the local fresh market to see how the locals shop. Back to hotel for breakfast.
Drive to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall, you can be enjoy scenic water fall from the different points. After that you can have swim in the crystal care water or you can dip your leg and enjoy the sound of the water fall and birds chipping in the surrounding jungle. There will be picnic lunch. After that short visit to Bears Rescue Centre which cares for abused bears.
Late afternoon return to Luang Prabang , on the way visit Kuang Si Butterfly Park. This park is open for research centre for studying and publishing about the Lao butterflies, host plants and preservation because of the environmental issues in Laos.
After that back at your hotel for rest and relax.
Day 4 | B, L
Luang Prabang
Enjoy your late breakfast in the morning. Transfer to Mekong River and board the Nava Mekong Cruise, this is a Traditional Lao River Boat, it is a four hours- lunch cruise. During this cruise the Nava Sops at the Pak Ou Caves for adventure among the 4000 sacred Buddhist statues and images scattered about the two limestone grottoes.
Back to Mekong and continue to visit Ban Chan Neau (Pottery Village). The village is opposite bank of the Mekong River the 300 inhabitants of the small village of Ban Chan, specialize in the manufacturing pottery and bricks and that is the only livelihood for their daily income. They work under the zinc room 8-10 hrs a day. You will able to see the live pottery making.
Late afternoon have short walk around the market along the side of the Mekong River. Evening back to hotel and rest.
Day 5 | B
Luang Prabang – Departure
After breakfast, visit Ban Phanom Weaving Village. This is a village steeped in the traditional textile-making with many families in the village working their looms to provide goods for sale at the night markets. Ban Phanom Textile once supplied to the Royal Family, and weavers today used many of the same techniques and patterns, resulting in the distinctly old fashioned look.
Back to city centre for lunch and free and easy till departure. Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
