6 Days Rustic Myanmar — Hill Tribes in Kyaing Tong
Yangon—Kyaing Tong—Yangon
The Shan hills surrounding Kyaingtong are home to a variety of ethnic tribes including Khun, Ann, Wa, Shan, Akha, Palaung and Lahu villages. Drive through scenic countryside and rice fields and be invited into the home of the village Shaman, who'll offer tea and a recital of the tribe's traditional music.

| 1 | Arrive Yangon Arrive Yangon. Transfer by private vehicle to the hotel and check in if room is available. A mix of colonial architecture, modern high-rises and gilded Buddhist pagodas define its skyline. After lunch, enjoy the water front of busy Yangon River brief public ferry ride and after a stroll at the Maha Bandoola Park to see colonial-style high court and city hall, head to the lively Indian Town and Chinatown. Explore Bogyoke (Scott) Market to see Myanmar’s wide range of handicrafts and exotic souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy the sunset to the Great Shwedagone Pagoda built the most prominent monument in Yangon which dominates the sky with golden flash, giant spires and holy relics. Enjoy a Burmese meal for your Welcome Dinner. |

| 2 | Yangon — Kyaing Tong (By Flight) (Flight operates on every wed, fri, sun & depends on weekly schedule) Today, pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport. On arrival Kyaingtong airport, transfer to hotel and check-in first. Lunch: Lunch Box Kyaing Tong locates in Eastern Shan State, has a 2580 feet elevation, 12,300 sq meters wide. Shan, Akha, Akhu, Lahu (Lahu Na, Lahu Shi), Palaung, Enn and Lisaw (Li Shaw) live in Kyaing Tong area. In the evening, visit the downtown area of around the Nong Tong Lake. |

| 3 | Kyaing Tong — Akha Village Trekking Early morning visit the lovely market offering a mixture of local products, handicraft wares of the tribal folk and merchandise from Thailand and China. Then drive to Ho Kyin (approx. 50 minutes’ drive). Star from 2hours trek to visit Hokyin village with typical Akha tribes 4 villages, still wearing traditional costumes with silver coils, observe how to make Akha Rice Alcohol. Lunch: Lunch Box A 30 minute walks to visiting one village to another villages of Akha tribes to see their daily life in those rural areas. The walk is not difficult and can be done slowly. In the afternoon, come back to Kyaing Tong after 30 minute drive. Total walking hours: 5-6 hours |

| 4 | Kyaing Tong — Pin Tauk Trekking Your local station guide will meet you at the hotel for a hiking tour into the Pin Tauk area. After 30 min drive through the Shan villages of Lai Kaik, Kut Taung, we stopped driving and start trekking. The first 30 min is walking through paddy fields. The slopes become higher and higher to test your stamina and the elevation of 6,000 feet. After an hour trek & hike, we arrive to Pung Loy village – the home of Enn Hill tribes. Some are Baptist and some are still animists. The Enn are an ethnic group who has significant of their “Black Teeth” and wear distinctively in black different from other tribes. The cloth to make their costume are dyed with natural color from plants and done by their own. Lunch: Lunch Box We continuously walk slowly next 45 min to the village of Noung Shan, home of Akha tribe. The village Akha people are Baptist. We can stop another Akaha village Wan Pin (called also Pun Pin). About 3PM, we will drive back to hotel. Enjoy leisure evening. Total walking hours: 5-6 hours |

| 5 | Kyaing Tong — Yangon (By Flight) (Flight operates on every wed, fri, sun & depends on weekly schedule) After breakfast, we will have time to explore around town. A 40 minutes’ drive takes us to Wan Sai Village and observation to Akhu tribe. They are wearing black plain cloth in head, smoke bamboo pipe while doing their house work is unique attraction and satisfy our trekking trip with unforgettable memory. Lunch at a local restaurant. And transfer to Kyaingtong Airport to take flight to Yangon. Arrive Yangon, transfer to hotel. |
