Day 1 | Hotel
Arrive Kolkata

 

Upon arrival at late night meet and transfer to hotel. Check into hotel and overnight.


Day 2 | B, L, D | Hotel
Kolkata – Bagdora – Gangtok

 

After breakfast drive to airport to take a short flight to Bagdora. Upon arrival meet and transfer to hotel for lunch. After lunch transfer to Gangtok. Drive will takes about 4hrs. We will stop by at Rangpo check post to apply for your Inner Line Permit. You can have tea break before driving to Gangtok, Upon arrival check in hotel and explore around M.G. Marg.

M.G. Marg
The main street of Gangtok town is pedestrianized and a pleasant place to take a stroll. You can sit at the park and listen to the piped in music played for the listening pleasure of visitors or just walk down the mall and take in the carnival like atmosphere. Perhaps you may also fine some unexpected gems hidden in the winding side alleys as you begin to gain insight into the lifestyle of the Sikkimese. The Bakery Café is the only place that serves reasonably good lattes and cappuccinos with freshly made bread. Be sure to indulge!


Day 3 | B, L, D | Hotel
Gangtok

 

After breakfast, take a day tour to the famous Tsomgo Lake 40 km away from Gangtok. Late afternoon sightseeing in Gangtok city including Nagyal Institute of Tibetology and Lal Bazaar.

Tsomgo Lake
Known as “source of the lake” in Bhutia language, this serene lake is situated at an altitude of 12,000ft on the Gangtok Nathu La highway and is considered sacred by the local people.

Nagyal Institute of Tibetology
Established by the chogyal in 1958 to promote research into the Tibetan language and religious traditions. The institute boasts one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Tibetan scripture and artifacts, ranging from the beautiful intricate silk artwork to the macabre instruments fashioned from human bones.

Lalbazar
Lalbazar is a flea market where you get almost everything from apparel to eatables. The fresh produce market on the first floor is both exotic and unique. It is also a nice place to interact with the locals who know a lot more about local plants and food. You’ll get some of the finest produce here from yak ghee and mushroom to fresh trout caught from the nearby streams and Teesta River. A walk through the food market provides interesting insight to the Sikkimese’s customs.


Day 4 | B, L, D | Hotel
Gangtok – Mangan (2,200 m)

 

After breakfast, a panoramic 4 hrs drive to Mangan. It is 67 km from Gangtok, this small town is the district headquarters of the spectacular North district. It is an attractive place with good views and is a transit point to other destinations of the region. This is also a gateway of north Sikkim through villages of Kabi, Phodong, Mangan (headquarter of North). Along the way visit Phodong Monastery and Kabi village.

Phodong Monastery
Phodong Monastery, established in 1740. The original monastery has been rebuilt and is today one of the most beautiful monasteries in Sikkim. The monastery was built by Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal in the first quarter of the eighteenth century. It possesses the old mural paintings and has around 260 monks.

Lunch en-route. Afternoon and check-in the hotel. Evening, free to roam around this small village. Evening dinner


Day 5 | B, L, D | Hotel
Mangan – Day Hike – Gangtok

 

After breakfast start day hiking to go up to the Mangan hill (2500M) with packed lunch. This day hike will offer the great view of the local village and their farm. From the top of Mangan hill can see the magnificent view of Mt Kanchanjunga. After noon short trek back to pick up point and drive back to Gangtok. Upon arrival check in Hotel.After afternoon short walk around MG Marg with delightful shopping. Evening dinner.


Day 6 | B, L, D | Hotel
Gangtok – Kalimpong

 

After breakfast, drive to Kalimpong. Drive will takes about 4 hrs. Upon reaching check in hotel and have lunch. Upon reaching hotel check in and lunch. Afternoon city tour start visiting the orchids and Cacti Nursery after that visit other interesting place of Kalimpong.

Kalimpong
The name of Kalimpong has become synonymous with flower nurseries many of which abound here. Gladioli, orchids, cacti, amaryllis, anthuriums, roses, gerberas, dahlias and other exotic plants are grown in a number of flower nurseries in Kalimpong, mainly for export. The weather and the soil of Kalimpong are very conducive to the growth of orchids, roses, gladioli and dahalias.

Durpin Monastery
It is the largest monastery in Kalimpong and was consecrated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself in 1976. It is situated at 1372m on the peak of Durpin hill, from where a majestic view of the town and Mt.Kunchenjunga can be seen.

Deolo Hill
Situated at a height of 5500ft, Deolo is the highest point of Kalimpong town. The view from the Hill is a fantastic one. One can see the entire kalimpong Town, the magnificent Mt. Kangchenjunga, the surrounding villages and Relli valley on one side with the Teesta River on the other. It is one of the most popular destinations of Kalimpong where views are concerned.

Evening back to hotel and dinner.


Day 7 | B, L, D | Hotel
Kalimpong – Bagdogra – Kolkata – Singapore

 

After breakfast drive to Bagdogra for about 4 hours. Lunch on the way and connect flight to Kolkata. Upon arrival meet and transfer to downtown for leisure shopping. Evening dinner and transfer to airport for final departure.


Day 8 | B, L, D | Hotel
Arrive Singapore

Early morning arrive Singapore.
