Dear Deepak and Alice
What can I say? Our Nepal trip was extremely fulfilling and the ‘children’ enjoyed the Ghankdruk trek so much that they wanted to go back again. They adored the guides and the porters, and even gave them nicknames after Chinese actors such as Jacky Chan. There were times when I felt that my legs were giving way, but the guides and porters were extremely patient and cheerful, and gently held my hand to nurge me on in times of need – it turned out that Mummy is the one having problem climbing up and down. Specifically, I will like to thank Deepak for loaning us his iPod cable charger – we realised that we forgot to bring ours on the plane. And Hem for bringing us to the shop to buy the shoes which gave way on the first day. This is the first time we had bought walking shoes without the need to “break-in”. They fitted perfectly. We are seriously considering going back again to trek Nepal with Divine next year – the only thing that is stopping us is time and perhaps physical fitness. The children were starting to talk about doing more physical training to prepare them for the next trip. Any recommendation other than the Annapuran region?
Thanks again for everything and have a wonderful New Year ahead.
Regards
Hwee Tiang and Family
P/s: Just want to let you know that we enjoyed the food tremendously served throughout the trip, especially on the mountains. Spinach, rice, potatoes and cut apples. What else can we ask for? Milk tea served in Nepal beats any Starbuck Coffee!
