Our school trips to Myanmar are specifically tailored to your learning requirements, whether you’re travelling for a specific topic or looking for something with cross curricula value.

For the student group seeking the most adventurous and rewarding journey in Asia, there is no country equal to Myanmar.

Myanmar is a developing country with a lot of needs particularly in the countryside. As such, there are great opportunities for community and social projects which students can participate in to make a difference.

In the last 100 years over half of the world’s countries have been renamed with Myanmar being no exception. Since 1989, Burma has become Myanmar and its capital, Rangoon, has become Yangon. Whatever you call it, Myanmar is unique among all other nations in the region, as for over 50 years it has been virtually cut off from the rest of the world.

Always praised for its beauty and still often criticised for its politics, Myanmar is a fast changing society inhabited by a hospitable and gracious people. The influence of many Asian cultures and of its former colonial master, Britain, can be seen in its customs, architecture and cuisine. Yangon boasts charming colonial architecture; in contrast, Bagan is an archaeological zone that rivals the Temples of Angkor in its beauty. Mandalay the former royal capital and Inle Lake in the Shan State are other not-to-be-missed destinations making ideal bases for boating and hiking excursions.

All our school trips to Myanmar are accompanied throughout by an English speaking local group leader who will meet you at the airport and be with you until you depart. The group leader will act as your guide, interpreter and general facilitator throughout your trip.

A school trip to Myanmar entails a journey to one of Southeast Asia’s most culturally diverse and geographically unique countries, an enigmatic and little understood country still struggling to find a place in the 21st century. Sometimes criticized for its politics and always praised for its beauty, Myanmar is now ready to receive visitors as once again its charming people welcome foreigner travellers.

Key highlights of our school trip include visits to some of the country’s most beautiful regions where students will have the opportunity to undertake a service-learning project to assist a rural community. It will also allow students to gain an insight into Burmese culture and society and will feature a cycling trip around the temple city of Bagan, a visit to Inle Lake as well as a thorough exploration of Yangon.

All our programs are customised based on the students’ learning objectives.
