Treading along the unexplored trails of Dhulikhel can be very exhilarating and enriching experience. As you approach Dhulikhel, a glut of cultural diversities, traditional practices, lush vegetation and rich birdlife unfolds before you. Dhulikhel (1440m) is a small town of Newar with a long history. According to the records it has been around for more than 500 years. The artistic skill and urban ethos of its Newar inhabitants have created a place of charm and beauty. Streets are lined with bare-brick houses, carved wooden windows, sloping roofs, pagoda temples and sacred statues everywhere. This is one of the short treks, which is suitable for family and travelers with limited time.

Arrive Kathmandu

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. Check in & trek briefing. Late afternoon leisure walk in Thamel, a popular tourist district in Kathmandu Valley and a bustling bazaar which offers a glimpse of Nepal’s vibrant ethnic culture.

Kathmandu – Dhulikhel

After breakfast transfer to Dhulikhel. On the way visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara – styled temples grouped around the ancient Fifty-Five-Window Palace The square is one of the most charming valley as it highlights the ancient of the kings perched on top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries and the wood carvings all seem to form a well orchestrated symphony.

Lunch will be in Bhaktapur. After lunch drive to Dhulikhel. Upon arrival check in Resort. Afternoon short tour around the Dhulikhel bazaar.

Dhulikhel – Nagarkot (Easy Trek)

Awake in the morning to the cold but stunningly spectacular sunrise over Dhulikhel Hill. The first ray of the sun firing the peak glimmering red, slowly lighting the Himalaya range. Mt Everest in the far east and Langtang and the Dhaulagiri peak in the west.

After breakfast we have a short briefing. Our trek will start from Dhulikhel. You will be passing by Tamang villages with lots of lovely quaint little houses and paddy fields and see beautiful eastern Himalayan ranges. The trek will be gradual up and downhill walk about 2.5 hrs and stop for a picnic lunch.

After that continue trek for another hour. At the end of the trek your private vehicle will pick you up and drive to Nagarkot (1.5) hours. Upon arrival check in Resort and relax. Late afternoon catch the sunset view over the Himalaya range and dinner.

Nagarkot

Awake in the morning to the cold but stunningly spectacular sunrise over Nagarkot Hill. The first ray of the sun firing the peak glimmering red, slowly lighting the Himalaya range. Mt Everest range in the far east and Langtang and the Dhaulagiri peak in the west.After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour around the Tamang Village and witness the local lifestyle and culture. After noon back to resort for lunch. Leisure time to relax around the resort. Evening catch one of the most beautiful sunset view and dinner.

The Tamang are one of the several ethnic groups living in Nepal and the Himalayan region of India descended from Tibeto-Burman origins. They are also one of the oldest groups to inhabit Nepal.

Nagarkot – Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. On the way, visit Patan Durbar Squarewhich is one of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley, famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu Temples. Watch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones and metals. After that visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and if you are lucky, you will get a glimpse of thefamous Kumari, the world’s only living Goddess. This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples like Hanumandhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (Abode of the Living Goddess), Taleju temple, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla Kings of Kathmandu.After lunch visit Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the world’s largest Stupa built in the fifth century AD. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design with hundreds of prayer wheels and 108 small images of Buddha all around. Lunch in the city centre. After that some free to explorethe colourful local market area and shopping. Evening enjoy a sumptuous traditional Nepalese Cuisine with Cultural Performance.

After breakfast transfer to airport for departure.
