ABOUT DEEPAK SHRESTHA

Deepak was born in 1973 to a family of subsistence farmers and cattle herders in Nepal. At the age of 13, he moved to the capital, Kathmandu and was employed in a progression of wildly different professions that eventually lead him to the tourism industry at the age of 15. continues to be a leader in the Nepal tourism industry. He later set up Divine Foundation in Nepal to promote educational and cultural links between the people of Nepal. Deepak is still hugely involved in the rebuilding efforts of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. He currently resides in Singapore with his wife, Alice, and son Adam, running the Divine offices in both Singapore and Nepal.

ABOUT DIVINE FOUNDATION

The Divine Foundation was set up in 2015 to facilitate the humanitarian efforts that were being conducted through Divine International in the aftermath of the 2015 Nepal earthquake. It has since expanded its focus to promote educational and cultural links between the people of Nepal and Singapore. Through projects like the School Lunch Program, The Nagarkot Project and School Uniforms & Shoes Donation Drive, the Foundation seeks to identify and assesses the specific needs of communities in Nepal to better facilitate the distribution of required resources in a sustainable way. Working with schools, church groups, international relief organisations and private individuals, the aim has always been mutually enriching relationships between the Nepali and foreign volunteers. The Foundation also conducts medical mission trips and other humanitarian efforts focused on earthquake recovery.
