Hi Deepak and Alice,

Thanks for coordinating the trip for us. We enjoyed ourselves and the service and interactions provided from all of you including the guides and porters were excellent.

The organisation was very smooth. Everything from the pick-up at the airport, to the arrangement of accommodation, trek, city tours, meals was very well done. We can see that the company has come far and evolved into a well-oiled machinery to provide this level of service. The trek was paced well and Krishna was accommodating and gave his best to answer all our questions. In addition, he showed us camping grounds and CIP opportunities for school trips. In addition, the weather was great for trekking, not rainy, not too hot – and of course my company of friends was the icing on the cake.

We really appreciate that you took time to meet us at the hotel on the first day and at Nagarkot. Also appreciate your director’s presence at our last cultural dinner. These little things tell us a lot about how much importance you place on customer service and we really appreciate that. Krishna and the porters were also friendly and very helpful in ensuring that we were safe.

Food was great and plenty throughout. We enjoyed the food though it started to get a bit repetitive after a while – but it gave us greater appreciation of nepalese food. In terms of accommodation, I must say that Woodland Hotel was very good – hot shower, comfortable beds and lots of space. The guesthouse in Jiule was good. Overall, I must say that it was more than satisfactory and exceeded my expectations.

Nepal is charming. Interestingly, the trek through the villages and with the amazing views were the highlight for us. Enjoyed observing life in the village and the warmth of the people as we walk pass them. Personally for me, I enjoyed the city tour as well.

I would definitely like to return to Nepal to embark on longer treks in future. And yes I will travel with Divine International again.

Thanks again for all the arrangements.

Dear Deepak

Namaste!! I want to say a big thank you to you again for the wonderful adventure I had in Nepal last week.

I am grateful to you for arranging for Tin to be my trek guide. He is indeed an experienced, very helpful and reliable guide to whom I feel very safe and secure with along with our porter, Myla.

The moment I touched down in Kathmandu I was well greeted by Hem and Ramesh at the airport followed by Dhruba and Tin at the hotel that I knew I had made the right choice to go to Nepal with your agency. For a beginner trekker like me, such warm hospitality certainly inspired me to return to Nepal.

My apology for causing you much inconvenience when I had fever and decided to rest in Kathmandu instead of proceeding to Nagarkot and so gracious of you for coming over to the hotel to chat and check on our wellbeing. This what makes you different from others as you give a “personal touch” to your clients. My compliments to you!

Overall, I am so impressed with your agency and will not hesitate to recommend Divine International Explore & Treks to anyone who wishes to travel to Nepal. Nevertheless, if all goes well I hope I be able to see you all again as I do have plans to go back to Nepal for another trekking adventure.

Lastly my warmest thanks to you and Alice for making my trip such a memorable one.

With best wishes

Dear Deepak and Alice,

We had just returned from Nepal last week and we both concluded that it had been a wonderful trip with Divine International! Thank you so much for the memorable and enjoyable experience.

Thank you for making the whole booking and preparation process easy for us. You both had been very helpful and we really appreciate all the useful advice (with regard to weather, packing list etc).

I would also like to commend all the Divine International staff involved in our trip in a way or another for their professionalism. They had been very helpful and friendly, always ensuring that our needs were met. I particularly enjoyed the trek with my guide, Subas, who was able to converse well in English. I felt very safe and well-taken care of with his presence throughout the 5-day trek.

Thank you once again for everything. This is the best trip I have ever had so far. I would definitely recommend my friends to explore Nepal with Divine International!

Warmest regards,

I want to thank Divine International for making my trek to the Annapurna Base Camp a comfortable and doable one! My guide, Tshering Sherpa, would hold my hand through the more precarious parts of the trek, ie when we were crossing rapids. He also lent me his slippers when my slippers broke. My porter, Rajendra Sanubai, helped to carry my daypack as we were climbing from MBC to ABC to ease my mild mountain sickness. Tshering and Rajendra were not only my guide and porter, they also became my friends as we bonded over chhang, rakshi and sukoti. All in all, a wonderful and blessed trip where I managed to catch the Annapurna range in perfectly clear skies. Thank you Divine International for making this possible! (:

Deepak and Alice,

Thanks for fronting the co-ordination in Singapore as well as accommodating the Bhutan International Marathon within the trip itinerary.

We have arrived safely back in Singapore yesterday and would like to thank you again for your kind hospitality over dinner at Naksel during our trip. As we rest in the comfort of our home, we continue to relish our time spent in Bhutan – the food, winding roads to (and fro) Bumthang, the hike up to Taksang in Paro, the fireplace in Phobjikha etc. So much of the country remains to be explored that I believe we will return again to experience what the other towns have to offer.

We would also like to personally commend our two local guides – Yonten Jamtsho & Kinzang Thinley – for being great ambassadors to Bhutan and for their patience throughout our journey. We look forward to returning to the Land of the Thunder Dragon soon 🙂

Dear Mr Deepak, Ms Paski and Mr Dhurbar and the rest of the Divine International Team,

We just returned from our 9 days, 8 nights, Naudanda-Sarangkot tour in Nepal. Just wanted to write to let you know what a fantastic team you are! One of the best we have encountered in terms of hospitality and details. Everything was very well organised and taken care of. Right from the beginning when we arrived at the airport, we were met by a very smiley Hem and that made us feel very assured in an unfamiliar face. Even the driver looks very properly attired and professional.

We like the personal touches of having drinks with Mr Deepak on the first day and with Mr Dhurbar and Hem on the last day. The team seems like a close happy family working together. The coordination amongst each other was wonderful.

The small personal touches like the unassuming driver placing a pillow on the carseat for me to sleep on as he noticed that i sleep on the van.

We changed the itinerary in the middle of the trip in wanting to go for a mountain flight. The team worked seamlessly to change our hotel stay and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Mr Dhurbar to inform us that the company’s motto is to not downgrade its customers and we were surprised that we continued to stay in 5 star hotel but service at this hotel was fantastic.

We were also very pleasantly surprised that we were assigned Paski as a female guide. That made us feel very comfortable from day 1. Paski is a great guide, very knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. It is important that the people that you have are all very pleasant, professional and service oriented.

We love the stories told by Paski about the Sherpas and look forward to returning to Nepal very soon!

Thank you!

Hi Deepak

The overall trip was great. We enjoyed Tibet a lot, the scenery, the temples and the culture are amazing. The guide and driver were helpful and made the journey unforgettable. The itinerary was good, but it would have been better if day 1 was kept free as few of my friends have difficulty adjusting themselves to the altitude. Bakhor area (old town) was under renovation. Our concern, will China keep the old town as its origin?

Big thank you for arranging the trip and your help to ensure we received the permit on time. Kindly keep us posted with any interesting places Divine International is offering for our future visits.

Hi Deepak and Alice,

Our 1st trekking trip to Nepal was a great success!! Thank you so much!

Big thanks to the fantastic guides and amazing porters in Divine Nepal.

Chief guide Pemba is strong and as sure footed as a mountain goat! There was not a request he could not meet. Some of us were not feeling too well and requested for plain porridge. After 3 attempts (at different lodges) it was cooked to perfection . Throughout the trek the guides especially Pemba were very attentive, always enquiring if we slept well, is food ok, helping us through rough patches, offering to carry our daypacks.

We had lots of fun kidding around with them, all have a great sense of humour – like us! Besides namaste, we also learnt some important Nepali words like dhanybhad, swagatam, thik cha, khannus, and lots more.

We have kept in touch with the 2 young Sherpas, Sangay and Phurba, we are their uncles and aunties!

Please convey our thanks and best regards to Pemba adn the Divine team again when you see them. They’re simply the best!

Hope you enjoy the 2 albums we shared with you. Now….like the brochures say ‘Once is not enough’!! We are considering other treks likeTilicho Lake , Everest Base Camp.

Once again, thank you for a truly unforgettable and awesome experience!
Hope we’ll make it for more!

Cheers!

Hi Deepak,

I am Dr. Teh, my wife and I had just had one of the most relaxing tours of our life with Divine International in Nepal. We were so warmed by your company’s hospitality, and the range of places that we had visited. My wife, Janet was very apprehensive after our two trips to India but after last week’s visit to Nepal she has been singing praises about your beautiful country and have been recommending friends to give it a try and visit.

I have at least four senior citizens, mandarin educated who would like to do such a trip. Please give our regards to Hem, Jhalendra and not to forget Ramesh.

Hi Deepak & Alice,

Juley! Thanks for the arrangement for my visit to Ladakh. I was very well taken care of by Mr Usman, Mr Qidir (driver) and the hotel & guesthouse staff throughout the trip. They made sure I was safe, well rested, well fed, well protected from the cold (night time temp dropped to -20c in Panggong Lake) – in short I was so ‘pampered’. The itinereary was very well-planned and managed and the scenery in Ladakh is simply out of this world! Ladakh simply rocks!

Thanks a heap,

Hi Deepak and Alice,

My team and I wish to express our appreciation to the Divine International Team for taking exceptional care of us during our Mera Peak trek in Nepal from 18 Mar – 5 Apr 2013.

Special mention goes out to Rinjni Sherpa who showed great composure in handling an unfortunate incident where a team member had suffered a fall. As changes in the itinerary were unavoidable, Rinji exercised flexibility in managing the pace of the trek while not compromising on the safety aspect.

Back in Lukla, he took us out on short treks in the area to explore schools, monasteries and areas where my team had never been. It was an enriching experience for us all. And in Kathmandu as we had an extra day to spare, he took initiative to bring us to Nagarkot for a night’s stay. The arrangements he made were simply seamless and his service standards impeccable!

Not forgetting the rest of Divine team in Nepal, Mingma-Serious, Mingma-Smiley and Pasang -Porter doubled up as Asst guide, they were all indispensable and assisted us in their little ways throughout the trek. We all missed them already as well as all the chilli chickens and Rinji’s ‘Jam Jam Bistari Jam!’.

Do send our regards to them and once again, thank you Divine Team for a memorable experience.
We will come to Divine International again for future Nepal treks! 🙂

Dear Deepak and Alice

What can I say? Our Nepal trip was extremely fulfilling and the ‘children’ enjoyed the Ghankdruk trek so much that they wanted to go back again. They adored the guides and the porters, and even gave them nicknames after Chinese actors such as Jacky Chan. There were times when I felt that my legs were giving way, but the guides and porters were extremely patient and cheerful, and gently held my hand to nurge me on in times of need – it turned out that Mummy is the one having problem climbing up and down. Specifically, I will like to thank Deepak for loaning us his iPod cable charger – we realised that we forgot to bring ours on the plane. And Hem for bringing us to the shop to buy the shoes which gave way on the first day. This is the first time we had bought walking shoes without the need to “break-in”. They fitted perfectly. We are seriously considering going back again to trek Nepal with Divine next year – the only thing that is stopping us is time and perhaps physical fitness. The children were starting to talk about doing more physical training to prepare them for the next trip. Any recommendation other than the Annapuran region?

Thanks again for everything and have a wonderful New Year ahead.

Regards
Hwee Tiang and Family

P/s: Just want to let you know that we enjoyed the food tremendously served throughout the trip, especially on the mountains. Spinach, rice, potatoes and cut apples. What else can we ask for? Milk tea served in Nepal beats any Starbuck Coffee!

Hi Alice, Deepak and Tin,

Ziyan and myself have returned safety from Nepal and have rested the last couple of days. Would just like to thank the Divine team – both of you, Tin and Madan for another great trip.

Tin and Madan were simply awesome and looked after every aspect of the trip to ensure that we were well-taken care of. There are too many things to mention in detail here, and some of these things I have mentioned before during our last trek to ABC… but above everything, it was really the little gestures that touched our hearts… like how Madan would often walk back to meet us after unloading our heavy bags at the lodge just to help us carry our daypacks when we had mild headaches due to the altitude, and how, despite freezing himself, Tin would exchange gloves with Ziyan when he felt hers were insufficient to keep her hands warm, on top of helping me with my daypack as we were approaching Thorong La. We couldn’t have made it to the pass without their help.

I also appreciate the trouble Deepak and Tin went to, to make alternative transportation arrangements and ensure our journey from Jomsom back to Kathmandu was as comfortable as possible when the flights from Jomsom to Pohkara were cancelled as the weather closed in.

I’ve also attached a group photo we took at Thorong La. I’ll remember the wonderful experiences of this Nepal trip and the stunning scenery for a long time to come. =) Have a Merry Christmas in advance!

Divine International is not your usual travel agents. They are your travel companions. I went to Namche Bazaar (Nepal) in December 2011 and on my way back to Lukla, I discovered I had left my watch behind at Namche Bazaar. It wasn’t an expensive watch, just the usual digital wristwatch. It was a long way off and I was resigned to not getting it back.

To my surprise, my guide Peemba, on his next trekking trip up, had gotten it back from the lodge where I left it behind. He had passed it to Deepak who brought it back to Singapore!!!

I am very touched by the trouble they took to get back for me a simple watch. This is what service means to them! Such care! Such attention! Thanks Deepak, Thanks Peemba.

Hi Deepak,

Hope everything is fine with you?

My wife and I would like to thank you for organising our recent trip to Nepal and Bhutan. We are very happy with your professionalism, the good guides, good hotels, excellent services and hospitality that you provide during our stays in Bhutan, we really enjoy our vacation. Thumbs up.

Generally it was a very good trip particularly in Bhutan. My wife and I are not Buddhists therefore we do not know how to appreciate the religious cultures, nevertheless we like the simple life style, the hospitality and quietness of the country. In term of the hotels we love them all, there are excellent in term of ambience and services.

We have a good guide Mr Norbu in Bhutan, professional in his work, very punctual and had given us very wide knowledge of the country cultures especially in the national religion which I now understand more about Buddhism.

My wife and I had no regret travelling with Divine International and we would fully recommend you to our friends who plans to travel to Bhutan or Nepal. I am planning to go back to Nepal next year for a trekking trip from Pokhara to Mt Annapurna Base Camp. Will come to Divine International when the time comes.

Hello Deepak and Alice.

Trust that both of you are keeping well.

Both my brother and myself enjoyed our Bhutan trek very much. Although we could not complete the trekking trip as one of the high pass was not passable due to snow, we could still experienced the beauty of Bhutan. Bhutan is also a very clean country and people are friendly.

The trekking crew was fantastic. Our trekking guide, Mr. Narbu, is a very experience guide. He is very patient and understanding. Mr. Narbu is also a very keen bird watcher. We enjoyed walking with him in the morning as he would point to us the various birds in the environment.

We must make a special mention of our trekking cook. He was very creative in his cooking and presentation of the food. For example, he cut the paper towel into some pattern before using the towel to hold the French fries and served the snack to us. We were particularly impressed with his deep fried noodles grazed with stir-fried vegetables and vegetable sauce. This noodle dish is commonly served in countries where there are substantially big Cantonese community. His grilled chicken drumsticks were very memorable. Although I was sick and I could not eat much, I could still tell that his cooking was really very good for a fussy eater like me. I was also a bit surprise that he speaks fairly good English.

We must thank you for arranging this trip for us. We were well taken care of and we enjoyed the trip very much.

Hi Deepak & Alice!!

Happy New Year to you & family!! Our Sri Lanka trip was good but slightly tiring. Highlight of the trip was to see Geoffrey Bawa’s hotel (Kandalama) in Sigiriya and his beautiful home – Lunuganga in Bentota. You must include that for visitors who are into architecture. Amazing.

Please thank Rani for us. It was really nice of her to come to the hotel personally to bring each of us gifts for Chinese New Year. We went to Cinnamon Grand Hotel to have a seafood dinner at The Lagoon. Food was nice and the hotel was quite beautiful. On the way to the airport, our driver Sunil was kind enough to let us shop for 30minutes at Barefoot. We went crazy. I even bought a nice walking stick. Must show you. Attaching some pictures!!

Hi Deepak

Happy new year to you and family!

I enjoyed myself in Sri Lanka and had a good introduction to the land. Generally, accommodation and service was good for me. I enjoyed Indian buffet at Ramada Colombo. The elephants at Pinnawala were a treat. Yala was good for bird watchers. But forward instead of parallel seating is recommended for people like me because turning back to look was uncomfortable. Nonetheless, I enjoyed spotting the elephant rock and some elephant herds.

Rani was accommodating. She rang twice during our nine day tour to enquire about us. Even gave us personal presents each during the new year. Please thank her on our behalf. Driver Sunil was good company. I was very impressed with Cinnamon hotel (Colombo) Kandalama (Sigiraya)and Lunuganga (Bentota). Hopefully, my next trip to Sri Lanka will see me there.

Till the next adventure, thank you very much for arranging matters for us.

Warmest,

Hi Alice and Deepak,

Greetings! Ziyan and myself have returned safely from Nepal and had a good rest. A Merry Christmas to you both!

I would like to thank both of you, Tin and Krishna for a wonderful trip. Having had a great experience with Divine International after my school’s service learning trip last year, I decided to make a personal trip this year for the ABC trek, and again, I was not disappointed. The 16-day trip came and went before we knew it. Time really flies when you’re enjoying yourself.

Tin (our trekking guide) was very professional and was always ready to assist us in any area we needed help in. His genuine concern and sincerity really touched us and made the trek even more enjoyable than it already was. Krishna (our porter) was really wonderful too. He carried our backpacks, sleeping bags and all without complaining although we realised that we may have packed a little too many things (this being our first trek). Without both Tin and Krishna’s help, we would have found the trek much more challenging. With their company, the trek was also a much more fulfilling one. Their small gestures of kindness (Tin offering us fresh apples, oranges and cookies etc, asking if we slept well, helping to carry our daypacks) really warmed our hearts even though the trek got pretty cold at times! =) Tin modestly claimed that he was just doing his job, but whatever it is, it was definitely a job well done, and we truly appreciate it. The food was great, portions were huge. Still, Tin would always ask if we had enough and was ready to order more food for us if necessary. We were very well-fed indeed.

Kudos to your wonderful staff at Divine Nepal . We can’t thank them enough.

It’s been two days since I’ve returned, but my heart’s still in Nepal now and I’m missing it pretty badly. Hah. As it is, towards the end of the trek, I was already starting to plan for my next tripwith Divine next December, if time permits. Looking at the EBC trek, but I’ll see how things go.

Really looking forward to travelling with Divine again.

Warmest regards,

Dear Deepak & Alice,

We are back safely from Nepal with very pleasant memories from our 12-day interesting and enriching Ghorepani Poonhill trek with Nagarkot! We were blessed with very good weather and clear view throughout the journey.

Thank you and your team at Divine International for everything – from planning, briefing to taking care of us during the trip. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Deepak when we arrived at Kathmandu!

Your team of guides, porters and drivers are impressive. Tin, Krishna and the 3 porters – Gangcha, Mila, Joonvado (Hope I spelt their names right) are such a joy to be with. Tin, particularly is an excellent trekking guide. He is so patient, caring, attentive and entertaining. Our daughters call him their ‘favourite uncle’. Please help us convey our heartfelt appreciation to them.

We are very happy with the overall service from Divine International.
Much appreciated.

Hi Alice,

Its good to be home. We’re all back at work today already. And it also good to have consistent tatopani here!! Our Nepal trip was good, had a fantastic view of the snow capped mountains at Poon Hill. The morning had clear skies but it gets rather cloudy during the later part of the day. And we were very amazed by the porters.

Paragliding was totally enjoyable for the guys, and for me as well until i got motion sickness halfway through and…. dropped an air bomb of some of my stomach contents. Was ok after that though. It was one of the guy’s 1st time paragliding, he was very happy with the 45min long gliding around in the skies and was treated to some extra spin stuns by the tandem instructor as well.

And it was another guy’s 1st time rafting and he was super excited. 2 went down into the cold water for a swim and with all the fun we’re having, the rafting felt a little short.

Jungle safari was interesting and a good inclusion in the program, with the elephant back ride, the ox-cart ride, long canoe ride, short jungle trek, village visit. At times it felt like Jurassic Theme Park.

Overall, it was a good trip. Thanks to you and the Singapore n Nepal Divine team for organizing it so well. I know 1 of the guys definitely want to go back for other treks.

Dear Alice,

The Nepal trip was memorable. The scenery was undescribable. I could not have asked for more. Your guide (Tshering) and porter (Dawa) are wonderful and provide very good advice. I met Deepak at Pokhara and told him so … that Tshering recommended another way round to come back to Nayapul from ABC which both Swee Miang and me have enjoyed very much.

I must thank Tshering for helping Swee Miang during the trekking all the way during the trekking trip and carry her bag up and down and assist her all the way in order to reach ABC and back to Pokhara. It makes the trekking moved faster. I felt so very much accomplished as I carried my own bag about 4kg up to MBC. Only from MBC to ABC that I asked Tshering to carry my bag and i just carried my heavy camera. I also met the affable Mr Pasang and Ms Paskima. I am so blessed as both of them are kind too. Weather was wonderful as we experience sun, snow and rain.

We were a group of six that signed up for the 11 days Ghorepani Trekking in Nepal from 15-25 Oct 2010. We must say we were very impressed and pleased with the entire professional services provided by Divine International during our travel, in terms of the travel itinerary, accommodation stay, meals selection, transportation arrangement, trekking and coach guides allocation, etc. Even to the extent of leaving Nepal on the last day at the airport, we were still well taken care of by the airport attendant, who was entrusted by Divine International, to assist in our luggage checked in.

We fully understood that expectations need to be well managed, especially during our six days trekking in the mountain. Accommodation and meals would be very simple and less luxurious comparing to the city. Nonetheless, we were pleasantly surprised when our accommodations were of good scenic view and authentic meals were of fantastic taste when we were in the mountain. Besides, the last dinner at Khamandu city where we were brought by the Operations Director, Mr. Pasang Sherpa to an authentic Nepalese and high classy restaurant, accompanied with traditional cultural dance were highly impressive and memorable.

Next, we would like to strongly complement our Trekking Guide, Mr. Subas Rai and his trekking group. Their dedication and attention to our needs with regards to our stay and appetite during the entire trip were deeply appreciated. Especially our Trekking Guide Mr. Subas still personally cooked for our last trekking dinner when we were staying in Ghandruk village, and the meal was delicious!

We were pretty lucky in all occasions! The cooling weather throughout the trekking; the glittering stars at Ghorepani and magnificent sunrise at Poonhill after an immediate afternoon heavy rain; the amazing double rainbow at Ghandruk village after an abrupt shower; the beautiful clear sky for sunset and sunrise at Nagarkot resort.

Overall, we enjoyed ourselves remarkably during this Nepal Trekking trip, till the extent all of us had put on extra weight instead of the pre-anticipated weight loss for the usual past travel trekkers that came before.

We believed we will come to Nepal again, for another different Trekking route and destination, and definitely Divine International is no doubt our entrusted travel agency again!

Hi Alice

It is a wonderful trip for me and I truly enjoy every moment there. Jaw-dropping mountains with spectacular sceneries (especially the sunrise) charm me from the very first day when I start to trek. Apart from the stunning view, I was impressed by the culture and people there as well. This is an unforgettable trip for me and I will definitely trek Nepal again.

By the way, the services given by Mr. Rinji (guide) and Mr. Hassan (porter) are excellent. They possess an outstanding quality as a guide and porter and their remarkably good customer services have gone far beyond my expectation. Personally, I felt that both of them makes Divine stand head and shoulders above other competitors.

Hi Alice!

I’m back a work! It was a great experience. Thanks so much for organising.

The guidesin Nepal were excellent in their recommendations in places to visit, and they took great care of me. Rinji knew the trekking routes well, so he was able to provide me with good information on the routes. Along the route, he would advise on the food and drinks that I should take so that I could continue on the trek well. I nearly had a sore throat and flu once, and he advised me to take ginger tea, and also bought medicated oil. That is very appreciated. When we had gone up to Nagarkot, Dhruba had also helped arranged for me to stay in a guest house with an excellent view. The trip was well organized, and I was in very good hands. It was my first trip to Nepal and I appreciate the care that was provided, and the planning. I left my guides to do most of the planning, and it allowed me to rest. From my understanding, I was very fortunate to be able to witness the most beautiful sunrises (and sunsets) because the skies were clear. It was most excellent to be able to do so. I was also very glad to have the company of my guides and porter along the way.

My Nepal trekking trip was planned at the very last minute, but it was well organized based on the time provided. I think there would have been little much that could have made it better.

Nepal is a very beautiful country. It has so much potential! When I was climbing the mountains, all I could think of was my bed at home and sipping tea in a warm country. Now that I am back in Singapore, I definitely miss Nepal. It’s a very magical place and has so much charms and majesty! I will definitely want to go back to Nepal again. However, the Himalayas is very charming, and I would like to have the opportunity to experience it again. I have not thought about which part of Nepal I would like to explore. Perhaps I would try the Everest region, and also explore opportunities for voluntary work.

Our Bhutan trek was well organized.

Norbu, the guide was very alert and made changes to our itinerary where relevant. At Takshang, we were glad that there was no need to track all the way back to the cafeteria for lunch as Ta Gay had packed rice for us and we were hungry after the tour of the monastery.

All the suggestions made throughout the trip were appropriate. In addition, there was ample time for us to explore places and take photographs.

Samtengang Trek is a very interesting trek as it provided us with many opportunities to learn about Bhutan’s way of life in the farms and to meet many children and students. All the people were friendly and always willing to share about their daily routines. It was nice to experience 3 different campsites in 1 one trek. The final night amidst the pine trees was fun.

Bumdrak Trek is an easy trek despite the higher altitude. It was apt to do it after Samtengang Trek and on the last days of our trip after we have acclimatized. The trek was interesting with different vegetation and the sky was breathtaking at sunrise, sunset and night with bright stars. The duration of the trek is just right.

The staff was wonderful. Norbu, the driver and the trek staff were attentive, cheerful and displayed initiative throughout the trip. They extended a helping hand to us whenever there were difficult or muddy parts along the way. The staff was always punctual. Norbu is very knowledgeable and patient with our questions.

We had a chance to savour a variety of Bhutanese food served in hotels, a farmhouse and Sonam’s house. We also had good pizzas and pastas. You must inform Ta Gay that his food at the campsite was just as tasty if not better than the Bhutanese set served in Uma Paro restaurant. Thank you for arranging such an experienced chef to cook for us.

We were definitely pampered at the campsite. The mattress, 2 blankets, good quality sleeping bag and a hot water bottle made sleeping in the tent warm and cosy. We were satisfied with the rooms as they were spacious and clean. The rooms in Punatsangchku Cottages and Tashi Namgay Resort Paro had beautiful views.

Yes, we will travel with Divine International again to other places like India, Kashmir & Sri Lanka.

Our trip was PERFECT, no hiccup at all. Divine International lived up to our full expectation. The best part is certainly the tour in Bhutan. Gorgeous view, unique traditions, nice hotels etc.

The co-ordination by Divine International and partners in other countries were absolutely perfect.

I have no doubt to travel with Divine International again and probably to trek. Overall, Bhutan is the place we like most and certainly will visit again.

Very good organisation from Dhruba in Nepal. We are most happy with your hospitality and your driver Raju’s excellent ability to cope with the most interesting traffic jam from Kathmandu – Pokhara and back.

The two staff from your company are excellent! Their English is very good and Dynau’s general knowledge is unbelivable!

Food is good except not enough fruits.

I would travel with Divine Intetnational again to visit Pokhara as there are lots to see.

Outstanding organisation by Divine International! With attention to every small detail from Deepak & Alice in Singapore to Dhruba and his team in Kathmandu. Especially from Tin and his crew while on the trek. Our interaction with the people in Nepal as well as the beautiful country we see.

I have nothing but praise for the staff and thanks for all the care and personal attention lavished on Grace and myself in Mustang and on Don & myself in Kathmandu and Negarkot.

We always think the trips end too soon but it is not something that Divine can do anything about. Just have to schedule a longer time on the treks!

We are spoilt by all the good service we get from Divine International and will always use the agency for future trips to Nepal.

We are always looking for new experiences in Nepal suitable for our physical abilities and interests. Pls keep us informed of what you think may make us returun to Nepal.

Hi Deepak & Alice,

All I can say is that I truly enjoyed myself in Nepal! Hearing from Noreen was one thing, doing it myself was another. I’m glad I made the decision to do it and to do it with Divine International. Divine staff (Deepak, Alice and Dhruba) were very professional in your services — Deepak and Alice have provided us with very good advice and tips during our pre-trip briefing and answered our many questions, while Deepak and Dhruba were quick to update us on the next course-of-action when we had an unexpected event during the trip.

Our 15 days holiday was well-organised and planned, but I particularly enjoyed and missed the 9 days of trek up to Jomson & Muktinath. The picturesque mountainous scenery in the Annapurna region was breath-taking and beyond words. Yes, the trek wasn’t easy and at times, rather tough for me, but all these were comforted by my incredible “superman” guide, Rinji. He is a GEM!!! He is ever so caring, patient, genuine, helpful and jovial — he really took good care of us, from his whistling and singing of Resham Firiri to distract us whenever I’m trailing behind or when we are all tired, to encouraging me to go slowly (“bistari bistari”), to helping out at the kitchen to ensure that we get our breakfast/lunch/dinner fast, to making sure we get a good room, have hot shower, and have an extra blanket to keep us warm at night. Even though we encountered a massive jam and delay in the first 2 days of our holiday, Rinji more than made up for it all, throughout our trek. Rinji is simply the best and I can return to Nepal to do any treks, if he is my guide!!! 🙂

Of course, I will not forget the rest of the trekking crew – Lakpa, Kumar and Karma. They are the sweetest and most helpful Nepalese boys who can carry loads much heavier than my daypacks and run faster than the jeeps!!! We would not have done it without their help with the backpacks, with leading the way at times and with their cheerfulness. They are equally great and I’m already missing them and their smiles. 🙁

Nepal is a remarkable country with spectacular scenery, rich culture and warm and friendly people. I will definitely return and perhaps attempt the Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp or complete the rest of the Annapurna Circuit on the other side, up to Thorung La Pass. But before I do that, I will really need to double-up my training for the next trek, so that I can walk faster than the first time 🙂

And finally, I’m grateful to Noreen for all her help, tips and advice and for encouraging me to visit Nepal and to do my virgin trek with Divine International and Rinji! It was a trip well worth it and no regrets at all!

Warmest Regards,
Sherilyn

The Nepal trek and the city tour was well organised. For me, it was a combination of factors that all added to my enjoyment of my recent Jomson trek. The spectacular mountain views of the Annapurna region never failed to amaze me. Buit it was certainly not an easy task to walk the country trails, and at times I felt tired and discouraged but Rinji, our trekking guide, always knew how to keep our spirits up. As he walked along with us, he would either whistle or sing Nepali folk songs like “Resham Sembiriri”. Rinji and his trekking team of Karma, Lakpa and Kumar were always cheerful and full of similes for us. As much as I loved Annapurna’s nature and scenary, I equally enjoyed my interactions with Rinji and the rest of the crew.

I was very pleased with Divine International’s staff and services. As this was my first Nepal trek, the briefing by Alice and Deepak prior to the trip was very helpful as it gave me some idea of how to prepare for the trip. During the treks and city tours, both Rinji and Dhurba impressed me with their professionalism and good attitude. I was very appreciative of Rinji’s concern for our safety and comfort – he was always looking out for us to ensure that we did not get into any problems walking the trails or checking whether we needed an extra blanket to keep warm in our tea lodge accommodation.

Having just done the Jomson trek, seen the most beautiful mountains and scenary, experienced the culture and traditions of the land, one trip to Nepal is not going to enough for me. My dream now will be to complete the Annapurna region before going on to trek the Everest region.

Hi Deepak and Alice

Thanks very much for all your arrangements for ourNepal tour last week. Overall, we had a great time in Nepal, despite some hiccups in Kathmandu. Nepal is truly beautiful.

Rinji is an excellent trek guide – very accommodating and consistently cheerful. He and the assistant tour guide (Hem) even took it upon themselves to cook for us in Sarangkot when we had to check into a less comfortable family run lodge, as the initially planned lodge was fully booked. He also happily made alternate arrangements when we reflected that we wanted to walk more during the tour. We had a very pleasant experience on the treks, though we would have liked to walk even more 🙂

We were really glad that we made the trip to Nagakot! It’s beautiful and the hotel was great – really the highlight of our tour! Perhaps you could consider adding this into your standard itinerary.

Again, thanks for all your assistance and for being so accommodating when we wanted to add Nagakot to the itinerary, and when we were exploring making changes close to our departure date. It has been great working with both of you.

I will definitely approach Divine International again for future trips to Nepal in to the region, and will definitely recommend Divine to my friends.

Thanks again Deepak and Alice! Here’s wishing both of you God’s blessings in all areas of your lives.

Best regards,
Joanne

Hi Alice,

Namaste! How are you?

I had wanted to write to you earlier but was caught up with back logs after being away for a week in the mountains.

Stephen, wife and myself have totally enjoyed our trekking without having to worry too much about safety because Rinji was simply fantastic. A very responsible guide, sometimes too protective, but I am not complaining giving the fact we are city people who know nothing about the mountains. 🙂

Nepal or the Annapurna region has really left a deep impression on me.

I would love to organize another trip again to Nepal this early December as I have heard about other treks in that region that promise even more breath taking views of the mountain terrains.

Dear Deepak and Alice

Hello! Hello!

Many thanks for a wonderful trek in Nepal! Rinji was just so absolutely wonderful that even now that we are back home, we still think and talk about him frequently.

And we fell in love with hot lemon and we have bought lemon cordial from Carrefour to try to replicate it at home!

The overall organisation was great! Divine was able to customise the itinerary based on our requests and so, not only did we manage to do the Jomsom trek, we also did rafting, Royal Chitwan and mountain flight. The trekking was the most memorable! It was also great catching up with Deepak in Nepal!

The Divine staff we met (Dhruba, Dil, Rinji) were absolutely amazing people. Very sincere, earnest and helpful! We particularly enjoyed our journey with Rinji. He has touched us with his conscientiousness. thoughtfulness, sincerity and dedication. He’s an absolute delight to be with! We already miss him!

This may sound strange but I think while Divine has been extremely dedicated and took the greatest care of us, I thought it would be good if there was more room for independence.

I will want to visit Nepal again but next time, we will head straight for the treks as they are the best feature of Nepal. We are thinking of doing the ABC or EBC treks.

Alice: Thanks for the book! I finished it during the trek! At Pokhara, I also found The Dark Summit, based on what happened in 2006. I couldn’t find it here previously and was mighty glad to see it at Pokhara and at such a good price too.

I passed Deepak the book, One Year in Tibet. I also have it on DVD as it is a BBC documentary. If you are interested, I’m happy to lend you.

Warmest regards

Hi Alice:

This is an amazing trip! This is real and not just a praising sentence only. This is really out of my expection for the service and food especially during the trekking. I really would like to recommend to my friends. Acutally I have done that after I returned to HK during my friend’s gathering. I recommend them that they must go for the beautiful scene, snow peaks and the relaxing environment. We need to back to the natural world (sometimes without electricity and television) with all the silence and all the stars in the sky.

And I have asked them not to stay in the capital for more than two days, we can go to the resort and trekking for more time!

For the homestay, this is good. But as Fitto mentions, there may be problems for the toilet if the guests for the 3 rooms do not know each other. One minor issue is that the rubbish bin in the toilet has no lid. I just think if there is any napkin, it is better to have cover especially for the guests who may not know one other.

I definitely would travel with Divine again. The trip and the meals are flexible, we can stay longer if we would like to and just need to inform the staff. This is what I like to as I do not want to have rush during the holiday.

Pls pass my regards to Rinji, Kaila, Pasang and Deepak! Miss them a lot!
Wish you all a Merry Christmas also!

Note from Divine:
Hi Doris, thanks very much for your feedback and really happy to know you enjoyed trekking Panchase. We will continue to improve Divine Homestay and our next guest will have a dustbin with a lid in the common toilet. 🙂
