Dhampus is also a gateway to Annapurna Conservation Area. The journey to Dhampus village, one of the paradises of Nepal, begins from Phedi village, nearly a 30 minutes drive from beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara. From here one trek alongside beautiful views of golden rice terraces the vast expanse of the Annapurna Mountain range. The overwhelming altitude differences between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges make Dhampus peak a very vantage spot to observe the mountains with Tukuche Peak 6920m and Dhaulagiri 8167m spectacularly close to you. When you emerge from the forest and reach Dhampus, you will be able to marvel at exceptional view of massive Mt. Machhapuchhare.

From Dhampus one can also grab the exceptional view of Pokhara and the scenery gets even better as the sun goes down. The small village comprise of enormous beauty of mountains, friendly Gurung People, a small lake from where one can get the reflection of fishtail, temples, flowers, mustard fields, birds, and many more. The walk next day through forest to the Australian camp is also equally scenic. You will also have an opportunity for a close look at the daily lives of the villagers.

Arrive Kathmandu

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel. Check in & trek briefing. Late afternoon leisure walk in Thamel, a popular tourist district in Kathmandu Valley and a bustling bazaar which offers a glimpse of Nepal’s vibrant ethnic culture.

Kathmandu – Pokhara

After breakfast drive to Pokhara (5 hrs). Lunch on the way and check in hotel on arrival. Afternoon free at leisure to explore the Lakeside – a mix of hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and souvenir shops that has thrived along the eastern shore of the enchanting Lake Phewa.

It is also the gateway to the Annapurna region where many trekkers finds his Shangri-la, The mesmerizing Annapurna massif towering over the valley includes peaks over 8000m such as Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail), Annapurna 1 to IV, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu.


Day 3 | B, L, D | Lodge | ▲ 1650m | ◎ 3hrs Trek
Pokhara – Phedi – Dhampus Village

Morning wake up and have a breakfast. Then drive to Phedi (45 min). We will start to steep climb up with stone staircases through the Rhododendron forest until reaching lower Dhampus (1 hr). We will gently climb up again passing the terraced fields and small houses. We again keep climbing up through the rhododendron forest until reaching on the ridge (1 hr). We can see very spectacular Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

Then, we trek on the plain or road trail until reaching our lodge (30 min). We will have a lunch and whole afternoon free for resting and playing with children for families.We stay overnight in a basic lodge with very good view of majestic Himalayan ranges and valley view.


Day 4 | B, L, D | Lodge | ▲ 2165m | ◎ 3hrs Trek
Dhampus Village – Australian Camp

Morning wake up and have a breakfast with viewing panoramic mountains. After breakfast, we will start gently climb up through the rhododendron and oak forests until reaching Pothana (1.5 hrs). We make a short rest and keep climbing up with stone staircases until reaching Australian Camp (1 hr). We will have a lunch and whole afternoon rest. We will enjoy with Sunset view over the Himalayas in the evening.


Day 5 | B, L, D | Hotel | ▲ 900m | ◎ 2hrs Trek
Australian Camp – Kande – Naudanda – Pokhara

Morning wake up and enjoy with sunrise view over the majestic Himalayas, then have a breakfast. After breakfast, we will gently walk down in the plain trail for a while, and then we climb down in the rocky trail with many stone staircases viewing the village of Kande and high way until reaching Kande (1770m, 1.5 hrs). Our car is waiting to us and drive to Naudanda (30 min) and lunch. After lunch transfer to Pokhara. Check in hotel and explore around the Lakeside.

Pokhara – Kathmandu

After breakfast enjoy a five hour scenic drive along Trisuli to Kathmandu. Lunch will be on the way. Upon arrival check in hotel. Afternoon free at leisure to explore Thamel.


Day 7 | B, L, D | Hotel | ▲ 1300m
Kathmandu

After breakfast, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square (Old Royal Palace) and visit the Kumari Ghar where the goddess Kumari resides. This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples like Hanumandhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar (Abode of the Living Goddess), Taleju temple, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla Kings of Kathmandu.

After lunch, visit Bouddhanath Stupa,one of the world’s largest Stupa built in the fifth century AD.Afternoon explore Asan Tol. It is one of the most well-known historical locations in the city and is famed for its bazaar, festival calendar and strategic location. The bazaar attracts shoppers from all over Kathmandu because of the tremendous variety of merchandise sold here, ranging from foodstuffs, spices and textiles to electronics and bullion. Asan is also one of the popular tourist spots in the city because of its architectural sights and charming ambiance.

Kathmandu – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure.
